Muncie Comprehensive Treatment Center, located in Muncie Indiana, is part of Acadia Healthcare's Comprehensive Treatment Centers, the leading provider of medication-assisted treatment in the nation. Our nursing team provides compassionate, high quality safe and efficient medication dispensing to patients that are seeking recovery from Opioid Use Disorder.
Your Job as a Peer Recovery Coach:
The Peer Recovery Coach works with the care management team in providing a seamless continuum of care by maintaining regular and constant communication with patients to provide a set of non-clinical activities that engage, educate and offer support to patients. The Peer Recovery Coach will help patients to remove personal and environmental obstacles to health care access and help them remain in recovery.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate peer lead support groups.
Serve as a mentor for patients by demonstrating ways to become empowered and self-responsible.
Providing care management and care coordination services for patients in the clinic. Responsible for coordinating continuum of care activities for assigned patients and ensuring optimum utilization of resources, service delivery, and compliance with external agencies and referral sources requirements;
Coordinating care and serve as patient advocate;
May also be responsible for conducting individual, and family educational sessions, various duties related to coordinating treatment and discharge activities, as needed;
Coordinates in a timely manner, issues or activities relevant to the team, and/or to the team's relationship within the facility or treatment milieu; and,
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Your Education &
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
1-2 years of experience working in behavioral health or substance use disorder recovery setting preferred.
Direct experience in substance abuse field through personal life experiences, instruction/internship or similar practicum through education or certification process required
Your Skills as a Recovery Coach:
Experience as a recipient of substance abuse services and is willing to use and share personal experience, knowledge and first-hand insight to benefit the team and its clients.
Understands general addiction, other substance-related problems and available treatment options.
General understanding of community resources and how to promote linkage between the patient and resource.
Demonstrates sensitivity and understanding to each patient based on where they are in the recovery process and their current psychosocial needs.
Experience assisting patients in developing skills and enhancing strengths to avoid relapse to successfully navigate the full continuum of care and the road to long-term recovery.
Licenses/Certifications:
Certified in Intentional Peer Support (CIPSS) or Certified Recovery Coach.
Certification required within 45 days of employemenrt if not already obtained/active.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
